Visited the resort at the end of August for five days with my daughter. We had a package deal which included airport or hotel transports, ten scuba dives, meals and a one-hour spa treatment. Our twin beds were comfortable, the AC worked fine, there is mosquito netting over the beds, hot water for showers, a refrigerator, a sitting area inside the room and a terrace with chairs outside the room. however, the restaurant was nearby and you could get coffee and tea there.
We found the food at the restaurant good and at very reasonable rates. Views of the rocky beach, water, and sunset from the restaurant were enjoyable. We also enjoyed the pool and views of Mt. Agung, especially in the mornings. We did hear some wild, crazy kittens meowing and running around on the roof in the early AM hours, but their antics subsided before we left. Around the grounds of the resort were hammocks, chairs, and loungers for relaxing and lots of flora/fauna.
Since my daughter and I are certified divers, we came to Tumbalen to dive the USS Liberty shipwreck located nearby. We also did several other dives in the area and nearby in Amed. There are several divemasters at the resort who were friendly and polite, in fact, all staff we encountered at the resort were very kind and helpful. Kapretd was our assigned divemaster during our stay. He always gave us a thorough briefing before the dives and kept a watchful eye on us while underwater. We had a great time with him and would definitely return to the area to dive again as many things to see on the wreck and on the house reef.
